It came up when readers asked:
- “Can you recommend legal thrillers set around criminal defence barristers where the case turns on a twist in the evidence? Not too American please.”
- “I've read everything by John Grisham and I'm desperate for something new. Which authors should I try next?”
- “What are the best legal thrillers by British authors? I'd like something set in English courts rather than American ones.”
