It came up when readers asked:
- “I've never read a graphic novel before, where should I start? I mostly read normal novels and a bit of non-fiction.”
- “I need a graphic novel to buy for my dad who loves history books and war documentaries, any ideas? He's 68 and has never read a comic in his life.”
- “I loved Maus and want something with the same emotional weight. What other graphic novels are like it?”
